Good Work: Reimagining How Work Is Designed, Led and Lived

Description

To open the conference, Jason van Schie will sit down with conference chair Dr Kat Page for a brief conversation about her new book, Good Work: Transform your work from the inside out.

Drawing on decades of psychological research and real-world experience, Good Work challenges the idea that burnout, disengagement and distress at work are individual problems to be fixed with better coping strategies. Instead, it makes the case that the root causes sit in the way work is designed, led and governed.

In this short conversation, Dr Page will reflect on why traditional approaches to workplace wellbeing fall short, what “good work” really looks like in practice, and how organisations can begin shifting systems, norms and expectations to create work that protects, fuels and connects people – setting the tone for the conversations that follow across the conference.
