Sandra Keeley is the National Safety & Wellbeing Manager at TAL Life Insurance, where she has worked in the role for over eight years. TAL is one of Australia’s leading Life Insurers, providing income protection to millions of Australians.  With 15 years in the safety profession, Sandra is the first to say she is still on the safety journey, particularly when it comes to understanding psychosocial hazards and what genuinely helps reduce harm in today’s work environment. Her approach is practical and people centred, shaped by learning through trial, error and a strong belief in progress over perfection.

Before joining TAL, Sandra worked across waste services, high-voltage electricity and transport, shaping her view of safety in the realities of complex, high-risk work. Her perspective is also shaped by a background in Sport Science, working with athletes, a Master’s in Work Health and Safety, and by learning alongside her People and Culture and Safety peers.
