Jim Kelly

Jim Kelly is the current acting Executive Director of Operations and Enforcement for SafeWork NSW.

As a senior executive for the NSW work Health and Safety Regulator Jim is responsible for leading most of the state-wide inspectorate functions including regulatory education and advice, compliance, and enforcement. Together with the head of SafeWork NSW, and his colleague, they drive the strategic direction for the regulator with a vision of safer healthier work for everyone in NSW.

Jim’s career spans all industries working in prevention, early intervention, injury management and regulation. He takes a holistic approach to business, risk and the impact work can have on the physical and psychological health and safety of workers and others. He is passionate about driving positive behaviour change and preventing injury and illness through the design of healthy and safe work.

In his spare time Jim is a volunteer Board member with the charity “Heart on my sleeve” a lifesaver and active member of his local surf life saving committee and a family man who loves to get active in the outdoors.
